Country Cottage, York

This couple had lived in this York cottage for 12 years and wanted a modern update. Yellow walls were replaced with subtle fine stripe wallpaper in soft greys. Sofas in luxurious velvets and natural linens gave a cool, contemporary edge. Ceramics and art, collected over the years, were displayed effortlessly either side of a log burning stove. The shutters gave a colonial feel to the sun room and cast a warm glow in the evenings.
